On March 8, 2018, the world recognized International Women’s Day with strikes to highlight gender inequality in Spain, marches against violence in Manila and New Delhi, student protests in Beijing and action across Kabul, Paris, Buenos Aires and dozens of cities in the United States.
At Kiva, nearly 52,000 lenders from 62 countries raised funds for women borrowers in the days surrounding International Women's Day, totaling $6 million in Kiva loans that went to over 13,000 women. To celebrate, this week’s Links We Like are global snapshots of the day, and stories of amazing women doing amazing things.
