Announcing Partnership with Women's Initiative to Eradicate Poverty (WITEP)

May 7, 2006

We are delighted to announce our newest partner, Women's Initiative to Eradicate Poverty (WITEP), operating in Uganda.

WITEP is a non-government, community-based organization formed to alleviate poverty and improve the standard of living for the poor women of Uganda. Their objective is to mobilize and sensitize people in grassroots projects, focusing in food production and food security. Advocating for programmes that encourage the emancipation of women and youth, they provide for exchange of professional ideas and skills acquisition on social, political, and economic development. WITEP is a very well-respected organization in Uganda which has been operating since 1989. Their excellent reputation and long history administering loans makes them a partner we're proud to be working with.

We can't wait to see their entrepreneurs on our site, so stay tuned this week as we are expecting our new partners to be set up and posting over the coming week.

And in the meantime - tell your friends! While the loans on our site have been increasing in diversity as we expand our partnerships, the loans are also being funded quicker and quicker! Shoot your friends an email to let them know our new partners will be posting this week - if you snooze you lose!
